Houston Choral Society is dedicated to bring choral music to the greater Houston area and now we are looking to also support our local composer's. Our goal is to highlight new and emerging composers of choral music by offering a $750.00 prize each for two winners. Two SATB choral compositions will be selected for a performance by our 90-voice choir in March 2025 following a public announcement of the winning composers at our December 16, 2024, 7:30 pm, Merry Magnificat Christmas concert at Foundry United Methodist Church, Jersey Village. Invisible Music is City Place’s newest art installation of floating and interactive land-based musical sculptures that play an ever-changing musical composition. A free educational exhibition, Park Conversations: Remembering and Honoring the Soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment will feature ten onsite audio experiences situated throughout Memorial Park’s Eastern Glades.
